Do's and don'ts

Follow these on every device that accesses Alchemy systems or client data.

Do's

  • Only share confidential data via onetimesecret.com.
  • Keep only active projects locally; remove outdated ones.
  • Use 22+ character passwords. Password generator
  • Install software only from trusted sources.
  • Keep Find My Device on (macOS).
  • Maintain firewalls and up-to-date virus definitions.
  • Enable MFA / 2FA wherever possible.
  • Classify data Green / Amber / Red before AI use.
  • Use enterprise AI tiers for client or Amber data.
  • Prefer passkeys over SMS 2FA.
  • Use zero-trust access (e.g. Tailscale) for internal services.
  • Rotate credentials within 24h of contractor offboarding.
  • Report lost devices to IT within 1 hour; remote-wipe immediately.
  • Report phishing to IT within 30 minutes.
  • Review all AI-generated code in PR.
